The mission of the fire prevention bureau is to further the science of fire prevention and safety in the community, with a specific focus on protection of life and property. This is accomplished through education, inspection, and enforcement.  One of the more popular programs that we have is the “Learn not to Burn” program which involves investing time in our community schools, grades Kindergarten through 3rd grade, educating students and teachers on fire safety principles.

In addition to safety inspections and education, the the bureau also spends time in our community performing different demonstrations and working with the public to ensure their homes are fire safe. If you have any questions or concerns for the fire prevention bureau, please contact us at (847) 945-4088, or email us at dbfd@dbfd.org.
